...I don't see why I have to look it up, since I don't have to. I could if I wanted to, but the place isn't very relevant to this thread.

...Much like several other posts here...

Well, the most I wanted to know was Ochanomizu's place of his childhood, which I got. Not an exact location yet, but I've got it.

thats cool, where? (offtopic but)although what is interesting is that Tezuka drew his characters rather unique, the noses especially because if you looked at the cartoon version of him is looked like a ball stuck to his face  ,but would you say that the way he drew was from how he was influenced by where and when he lived?

Dear god, if you paid more attention to some of the older posts, you would know. Fauna already said that he lived in one of the northern islands of Japan as a child.

I'm getting very fed up by these posts that are either just being off-topic and increasing the size of the thread's pages, especially since I'm still waiting for Fauna (she's busy) and would prefer that the size of this thread would stop growing until then.

I just got back from the library with volume six...Shunsaku Ban and Ochanomizu are roommates in Ginza, sharing one building for Shunsaku's clinic and Ochanomizu's robot lab. No mention of the doctor's birthplace is ever dropped. I think I may have gotten the northern islands theory off a Japanese fansite I used to visit, or my subconscious is a little crap-disturber.

Now it's time for a little thing I call Smackdown With Fauna.

Astronomical Girl, just because you don't read back through threads doesn't mean other people don't. Although I bet they can't, because they have to WADE THROUGH PAGES AT A TIME OF YOUR RANDOM AND OFF-TOPIC POSTS.
You are not the cute little princess of this forum. You're an arrogant little girl who somehow has twice as many posts in six months than I've gotten in four years of occupying this forum. I want you to turn your act around, or at least realize you make people uncomfortable. And you're making Dr. Jerk look up Japanese prefectures for you because your internet is acting up?!

I repeat, Ochanomizu lived in Ginza as a young man.

Hmm, unfortunate that it was never mentioned... I guess I might go with the northern islands theory if my island research brings up anything.

Anyhow, thank you very much Fauna.

I don't especially like when people have arguments between themselves on the forum, but in this case it's over an issue that has been brought up by several people and has been adressed by the moderators recently.

In this thread, the original poster, Dr Jerk, politely asked people to remain on topic at the very beginning of the thread. Things kept getting off topic. As a result, I understand some members frustration over off topic posts and jokes. I wish people didn't feel the need to vent that way but I can't really blame them when they do. Why is it so hard to respect somebody's explicit wish that his topic remains on topic??????? There already are a lot of topics that are not meant to be taken seriously, no need to bring the jokes in the topics in which people are trying to discuss more seriously. It is very annoying and very disrespectful, especially since this is not the first time it happens!
