Pluto wasn't named after the planet. He was named after the Roman god of death.

I love greek and roman mythology its kind of my second choice going through school. But its okay that you didn't figure that. Not a lot of people know that the planets were discovered by Romans and thus named after there highest gods

Its not even qualifided as a planted any more cuz its so small. It may be because the plant apeared very cold and deadly? idk good question.

It was meant to deface him. As part of his defacement he was also named after the one who was farthest from the rest.
