Okay, so Toby gelled his hair into those two spikes. How do you suppose he looks with the spikes DOWN??

Looks like it would need to be at least as long as Cora's.

Does he buzz everything but the front and back and that pointy deal on his forehead. Wonder if anyone's ever drawn that. His hair in the movie looks wobbly like it's "really" hair. What do you think, gang?

I think it's a buzz, except in certain places where it's grown out pretty long and then gelled up into those famous horns of his that we all know and love.

His hair looked fake from the perspective of the viewer, but the characters in the movie might have seen it more real than we did. You know what I mean?

Supposing Astros hair was down for some reason. He's hair could not be as long as coras because my hair is shorter than Cora's and believe me, I have tried to spike my hair MANY times before, but it's just to long. To much hair. But I also don't believe Astros hair would be buzzed off.
So I have picture that will prove my point. I will post them in the near future on how long Astros hair would actually be

I think it depends. Astro does have different spike lengths in different series, it seems. I do believe Tobio's hair is capable of being shorter than Cora's while still managing to have the spiked look. I guess maybe his hair is layered?

But here is a clue - in the 2009 movie, you see how he apparently spiked his hair - I lightend his hair in this screen cap so you can better see how it's gelled into place. And yes, it's layered so it just kind of "flows" into the spikes.

He looks cute blond. SURFER Astro!!

BTW - yeah, we actually have a fair number of excellent artists on this forum, but each has their own "special ingredient" and you are one of them, Satus! I think it's something you put in their eyes - just makes me want to say "ohhhhh sooo cute!"

I Photoshopped an image of Astro into "hair down" and also a mullet for another thread . . . here they are again...
