Actually, one intersting thing to note is that the 2003 series's head writer was Chiaki J. Konaka, who is probably best known for his work Serial Experiments Lain, and Digimon Tamers.

What's even more ironic is that Astro's seiyuu in the 2003 series, Makoto Tsumura, also voiced Takato in the Japanese version of Tamers.

What's even more, she also voiced Seilum Bradly (King Bradley's son) in the first Fullmetal Alchemist series. Knowing this in hindsight, probably makes Seilum's ultimate fate perhaps a bit harder to watch.

Oh I so agree, I'd love to know why Epsilon had to end up being a girl rather then a guy in the '03 series when the others are guys.

Because they needed a main female robot in the series? Epsilon appeared in 'Robotonia', 'Escape from Volcano Island' and also 'Rise of Pluto/Fall of Acheron'. I think Pluto also appeared in 'Robotonia', as well as 'Rise of Pluto/Fall of Acheron', and I think another one.

Astro ALWAYS has five eyelashers, I know this is pretty ovbious, but not many people think about it, you can also always see two spikes, even if one should be hiden(but most people know this one too)

Ah yes. I got to say, I rather like O'Shay's voice in ths video, but I'm glad they changed Atlas's design when they went to series.

That is interesting. Its like its a trailer for an entirely different series.

I wouldn't say a completely different series, it seems more like the rough draft for the series if anything.

I do as well. They look more like the 80's series in a way.
