Maybe he'd dance off against Higeoyaji?
As for music, because I love
Dancing Atom so much, I can only expect the music from that game would play.

Oh, I think he would DEFINITELY win!!
I can think of Astro in three dancing scenes off the top of my head
1. Yellow Horse - in manga volume 10 - where he dances all crazy
2. The Terrible Time Gun from the 1960's anime - where he waltzes with a princess (and looks very dashing in knight's armor)
3. The Ravex anime short from 2009 - where he dances a kind of disco thing

I am surprised he hasn't danced more, he seems like he'd enjoy it and be good at it. That 1960s scene sounds so cute too.
As for winning, probably depends on the dance. He can't possibly know every single kind in history. Wouldn't his brain have an eventual limit to how much it can carry? I would go more into that but it is not on topic, so...

I agree it would fit him, I could see him dancing on that. It has a clear rhythm, I would think this would be perfect for a robot. Would he be able to appreciate subtle music?

For some reason, I can picture him having a dance-off with 1980s Atlas.
Don't know about the song, but I can picture Atom doing well in the dance-off. He seems to be a jack-of-all-trades in the manga and anime and can usually figure out certain tasks pretty quickly. He would probably win.

Some reason I imagine him dancing to dubstep or something like that. I wonder if he can break dance?
