Mine was when Astro had a crush on Brianna and he helped Aton with becoming closer to Brianna. I love how Astro blushes in the episode and he doesn't know whats wrong with him.

When Astro pleads for peace, crying out "when are we going to stop fighting each other" (or something close to that). I lost it - just started to cry. Not only because it was such a moving episode, but because I grieve that we don't have a real Astro to plead for peace in our world.

Hmm, that's hard to say without including teh grand majority of episodes I like. But if I had to choose one or two favourites, I'd go with the finale, and the Pluto episodes.
The finale is truly just an emotional ride from beginning to end, stomping on your heart, as well as moving you with every justification it gives you. Easily one of the best, if not thee best anime finales I've ever seen.
As for the Pluto episodes, it's a great story, and it encapsulates a lot of makes the series work for me. It's intense, yet light hearted and humerous when needed. It's full of action, but also has a lot of substance. It has a great story hook, but is driven solely by its characters. And probably most important, it has a great theme attached to Pluto's character; what does it mean to be human?
