I was just passing my and wanted to point out this: ONCE someone told me Tezuka was way overrated and that my tastes were too vintage for my own good. That's about everything.

Besides, Astro Boy isn't always what one would consider "vintage". Some older incarnations of the character might would be, sure; but there are a few newer incarnations to consider, as well. The character in and of himself is timeless and ageless.

My brother and I watched it all the time. In fact my dad made us puppets of two of the fish (the Tiger fish and the friendly one . . flounder maybe?)

I also like Marine Boy! Your dad must be around my age! :D

How about Jonny Quest? The original, not the remake. Jonny Quest was my crush after Astro. I thought Dr. Quest looked like Dr. Boynton/Tenma ;)

He LOVED Johnny Quest! Me and Dad brainstormed a list of shows he used to watch as a kid. So far he remembers Astro Boy, Marine Boy, Ultraman, Diver Dan, Speed Racer, Kimba, and Johnny Quest.

Gigantor? All the Marvel comic shows (Thor, Capt. America, Hulk, Iron Man . . .)

How about Supercar and Fireball XL5?

Then there was Clutch Cargo and Space Ghost which were just plain CREEPY because they had "real" mouths superimposed over their cartoon faces. EEWWW!
