O.k., I know I said I wass going to do the rest of the 89, but, sadly, there are gaps in my 1960s episode index. I intend to eventually fill the episodes in the 3rd & 4th seasons at the very least.

1st, I will finish the 120s:

As the episode begins, Atom & Ochanomizu are in a disabled rocket, drifting in space.

Ochanomizu seems to have misinterpreted the situation, he thinks these guys have come to rescue him.

This is Bemski-hakase (Dr. Sowbelly).

I think these next three are based on a scene from Disney's version of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea:

Ochanomizu thinks this stuff is delicious; too bad he must know what it is!

  As for me, I never eat anything that I do not first know what it is.

I think this laser emitting stalk is modeled on those in George Pal's version of WAR OF THE WORLDS.

Was this episode included in the English broadcast? Or is this a remake that Mushi studios decided to do? I seem to recall this story on my boxsets.

Uh, what is it, exactly, that he's eating? ... Do I even want to know?

The ELV # & title are right there in parentheses in the thread's name, Earthshine.

Thought so but wanted to make sure, thank you!

No problem, Earthshine; I often overlook obvious things, especially when I am looking for them!

Another post! Only 769 to go! :p

So THAT's where Astro the tunnel boring machine came from!
Later on I'm going to have to extract enough clips to make a gif of this.

BTW Jeffbert, you seem to have got your clips from the Japanese original (as per the title shot) have you ever compared this one with the ELV to see what got cut (if anything)?

 If I remember correctly it was one of the various alien 'monsters' (as they were called in the English version) found in space.

I usually do, Tetsuwan Penguin. I do not recall any cuts on this one; though there may have been some. I believe my own notes of cuts differs slightly from the cuts noted in the TRSI boxed sets' extras.

I have no notes on these memories of his wife & child, & can only guess that the man has bitterness against Earth for their deaths long ago. My notes on the dub are very few, & say nothing of this.

Once again, Atom is caught in an electric field. :ninja:

Another firing squad. Will Atom arrive in time to save them? :hyo:

My guess is that the Earth men as the aggressors attacked the Tooth Aliens, who merely fought to defend their planet. After Atom rescued the prisoners, the guy finally admitted he was in the wrong (image above this one).
