Here is Chitan, at his best (or Worse) in a rather fun episode!

A nearby toy factory:

Uncle Poi works as a cog in a toy factory.

Image
It appears that he deliberately breaks some toys,

& while supposedly taking them out to the dumpster,

Image

Image

Gives them to the local kids instead. BTW, the little boy in the foreground 1st appeared in 90, Robot Fortress (81, Mystery of Amless Dam) as Yabo (means senseless) / Tommy, because he wandered into a maze of pipes, & only the little robot Piko (Pee Wee) was small enough to rescue him.

Here is Hizumi ('hizumi' stands for 'distortion' or 'strain') who 1st appeared in #57, Robot School (37, Astroboy goes to School). You may recall Ladd named him "AL Mechanic" in the ELV.

Elsewhere, in what appears to be Uncle Poi's home:

I think there is an animated GIF of this machine somewhere on this forum. :hyo:

Anyone remember Jiro & his mama from #59, Robot Buron X (30, The Super Duper Robot) whose ELV name as far as I could tell was Joey or Howie or Toby. Anyway, they are Poi's family, I guess.

The balloon machine went out of control, & this happens. Oh, & the gas is hydrogen!

Elsewhere,

It appears Atom is in an integrated school.

Daw! I don't know why but this picture of Atom and Uran is just soo cute! <3!
Image

Also, this episode kinda reminds me of that disney pixar movie "Up" because of the house being covered with balloons. :p !

Sounds like Uran and Atom pronounce their younger brothers name as "Chee - Tin".
This episode is a bit crazy, I mean Balloon 'smog'.

Oi vey, I never watched this one... I think I started to, but lost interest fairly quickly, especially with remembering that Cobalt wasn't in this one. (Curious, though, as both Chi-tan and Uran appear in this episode...)

Wow, Atom's hairline in these later episodes seem to be really low on some frames... can't recall that happening too many times in the earlier episodes.

They usually always do that with atom's hairline sometimes. I sometimes even notice that his head is shaped like an oval in some frames.

The human face does that when in concentration causing the forehead to 'scrunch up'. Tezuka could have been trying to give Astro that look there.
But it is true that he sometimes does have an outrageously huge 'widow peak' at times.

Image

HA! look who turned himself into a Hyotantsugi!
BTW: That would be only the second episode in the '60s series that I can recall where Atom went to school with human children other than a robot school with robots. However, this appears to be a school outing at an observatory as a previous frame showed Ochanomizu giving the lecture by a telescope.

Image

Another thing about this episode that is unique, is that Atom is actually shown as a child! He's hanging out with human children his age, and is actually acting as one of them! In most of the episodes of this series, he's given adult responsibilities and handles that situation almost perfectly. It was mostly in the 80's and 03 series that his child nature was more pronounced.

I already did the remainder of the images, but that post was lost. I am hoping it will be found.
