That's correct! The Japanese name for Little Astro Boy is "Robot Atom".
Come to think of it, I'm actually surprised that it's being released on a DVD, I thought that most new video releases these days were going BD.
Not sure about Japan, but I do know that American anime companies are still releasing a good bit of their anime onto DVD exclusively. Blu-ray releases are starting to become more common, but they're not commonplace yet.
