Well, yes, I've bought the DVD for myself. I'm not going to rip the episodes for other people, because that's a massive copyright violation, and I want as many people as possible to support this official release.

Not sure if this was pointed out, but the audio listing for the Japanese audio lists it as a "dub". Not only that, it's a secondary option, as opposed to a primary audio, which is unusual for most anime of this nature.

That's because when the series first aired on television, it was in Nigeria and in English. The upcoming DVD set will be the first time Little Astro Boy has had a Japanese audio track.

It is definitely interesting to have the English audio track be the original one though. I can't think of any other Japanese-made anime in which that's the case.

They could have flipped that and had the 'DUB' as the primary audio track, seeing that this IS a region 2 DVD? Unless, they intend on selling the DVD in Nigeria as well in which case it might be a dual region disk, or maybe at that point it might be a 'regionless' disk for sale anywhere.

I'm going to wait until it gets closer to the release date to think about ordering one, but I do want to get it.

I've already told Uncle ronald to get The DVD Of little astro boy which will appear on Nov 3 for me.

I'm not sure if you order this on amazon-jp from the US. It looks like you can from CD-Japan, and the postage will be between $4.50-$11 depending on speed, and tracking options.

You can, but you need to create a new account on Amazon Japan. Any other type of Amazon account will not count, USA included.
