They enter the portal.
As I understand it, Ochanomizu is explaining the 4th dimension.
It seems that Miranda is calling for her men.
Miranda tells Ochanomizu her story.
These 2D guys come out &
annihilate Miranda's men.
Not a nice guy, after all.

Usually, Atom goes fists first, but this time with open hands.
I think this is modeled on the samurai films, as I have seen this before. After killing the enemy, the victor stands still, while the enemy dies & falls over. He does not need to reassure himself that he has killed him, he is already certain.
As Atom tries to drag Miranda through the rapidly closing portal, she shove him through it. Neither Atom nor Ochanomizu can understand her reason for remaining behind.
Kondana, having been occupied with gathering gold, too late realizes the portal was closing. What does he expect Miranda can do for him?
The 2-D guys make an end of Kodana.
But dissuade Miranda from suicide, & even comfort her.
