I think TOONHEADS did a show on WWII cartoons, & both that & the one with Bugs Vs. Reichsmarschall Goering, who was out for some R & R Elmer Fudd-style

were featured. But many, perhaps most cartoons produced during American involvement in WWII had one or more references to WWII, if only about the shortages of consumer goods.

For the younger ones, Reichsmarschall Goering's statement, "he'll have you back here before you can say 'Schicklegruber.'" refers to Hitler's mother's family name. As I recall, his mother's maiden name was 'Schicklegruber,' and he was called that for some time.
