I use Opera & rarely see those annoying 3rd party popups. Hovever, on my laptop, I use IE7 for streaming audio, & need to do a shift-control-click to force it to open the streaming popup.

I thought of another one. Windows that resize themselves to fill the whole screen. And they don't maximise, you have to manually drag them back to the original size. My router config page does that. It's so annoying because I run at a high resolution and the resized page ends up being more than twice the size.

I want to have my stories/movies on my site. Each part will have a background song matching the scene so that the person who is reading it can feel more into the story/movie. Would that still be annoying? The music will not be mid files but Mp3.

It depends on what the music is like.

Maybe you could just have a button somewhere (the top of the page for example) that would play the music in a loop if pushed.

The type of music will be soundtracks and other real music. It will play automatically but you could stop it by pushing the stop button on the buttom of the page. I can't put the button on the top of the page. These pages will be password protected.
