Glad to hear it. I was embarrassed to admit to anyone that I wanted to see it, or was skeptical if I should even go or not. But now I have a good reason.

Now there is a monster movie other than Carpenter's "The Thing."
The Mist is an instant classic. Utterly forever...
But many, alas will be afraid to buy a ticket....
I grew up on monster fliks, but many today are scared of their own heartbeats in the night, as it were...
Terror grips their very soul.... At the thought of even Lovecraft.
The fainthearted wretches would not last 15minutes into The Mist!

That was UNBELIEVABLE.

I wanted to see it, but I was waiting for a good time. My friend and I went late this night and I just got home about 20 minutes ago. He said he only wanted to see scary movies with me from now on just for my reactions. As well he should, I had my knees to my chest and my hands in my hair (if they weren't over my eyes, but I tried to keep them open as much as possible)

The most disturbing part for me was witnessing the erosion of human logic and sensibility when put in a situation like that.
