Word processer and spreadsheet

Postby Big Astro Fan » 14 years ago

What is a good program for word processing and spreadsheets? I bought a new laptop and all it has is a trial version of Office 2007. I don't do a lot of word processing but I use the spreadsheet a lot. I found a 3 liseance version for $79.99. Is That worth it? Is it any good?

The real sign that someone has become a fanatic is that he completely loses his sense of humor about some important facet of his life. When humor goes, it means he's lost his perspective.

I hace an older version of MS Office, & I find it very useful. It has just about all the features I want, including an autocorrect function that I can program with my own corrections. For me, it is much easier to type "o--" than "Ochanomizu," & the former is autocorrected as the latter. I do not know about open office, but assume that it creates documents and such in the same types (.doc, etc) as the Microsoft products. I do not know about its actual GUI, or features, though.

Open Office is quite similar to Microsoft Office. It usually can load Microsoft documents (and I suppose can save them too but never tried).
