Dear Imagi,

My wife and I just went to see Nutcracker 3D and you can be very happy that Astro Boy is no longer a bomb in most people's eyes.

After watching this travesty from hell, I didn't know if I should laugh or feel my face melt from my skull like that nazi's did in Raiders. I mean this Nutcracker movie was a spawn from the deep dark pit of Hollywood hell.

I couldn't reccomend the money you would waste seeing this disaster, if you do decide to be brave? Go with a puke bucket so you can spare your fellow viewers the contents of your stomach.

Oh my God everyone...this is the bomb of all movie bombs and worse....it's 3D! ARGH!

But seriously don't go see it and when it comes out on Blue Ray DVD? Burn all the copies so we don't have mass suicides across the world.

OMG that was an aweful, aweful movie!

I've read about this being one of the worst disasters in the history of cinema. Now why did you pay to see this I wonder? :P

But I wasn't talking to you. :d oh:

Anyway, it seems like the movie, amazingly has a 7.3/10 on IMDB. I was sort of in disbelief at that. I've never seen such a discrepancy between user votes and critics. The movie currently has 0% on Rotten Tomatoes.

I suggest using "@"behind the name of the person you are talking to when someone else posts before you do

O.k., let us not become upset here! :D Not that I am saying anyone is, just that I prefer nobody does.

Yeah, I think a big Nutcracker 3D fan may be just a little bit upset if he saw this thread. XD

I looked up the trailer last night after seeing this thread, and...no. It looks dreadful, and I'm sure the whole plot was revealled in it, but I couldn't sit through more than half of it. I haven't even seen posters or marquee listings for it at our theatres. I mean, the poster triggers a childish "ooh, pretty" reaction in me, but the more reviews I read, the sadder I feel.

There are certain things that shouldn't be modernized and darkened. The Nutcracker story is one of them. And why are they in Vienna if nobody sounds or appears Italian? Vaguely Nazi rats? A kid with an awful Jamaican accent? The nutcracker is called "NC"? One of my favourite actors, Nathan Lane, with a Einstein wig and bad Russian accent?

No. Just...no.

Edit: It reoccured to me that Imagi was also set to make a CGI movie of my favourite giant robot anime, Tetsujin 28. Now that I've looked this movie up, I wonder how much of a gong show "T28" would have been.
