I'm pretty sure that I once heard that 3:00 AM is sometimes called "The Witching Hour" (it could be some bullcrap I just pulled from the top of my head, though), and that it's essentially the hour that all the ghosties come out to play, not neccesarily just the evil ones. Although I'm sure that one or two might show up here or there; it probably depends on location and area history, the kinda spooky-mixed bag you get.

Hanging around (until my internet decides to flip out again). I always heard that "the witching hour" was at midnight. Could be all regional though, either way I am usually dead to the world by ten.
