I have bought more than a few items from individual sellers, more often via Amazon than eBay, but I usually buy only from those with recent ratings & over 95% satisfaction, Tetsuwan Penguin. I have had rather pleasant experiences doing so.

The seller I got the DVD's from was 99.5% or better. I usually don't like buying from anyone below 99%, and I do read the negative feedback comments. Sometimes the complaints are just BS.

A Vitamix blender and OMG - I can't believe how incredible I feel since drinking a big ol' raw veg and fruit smoothie every day for the past week and a half! No kidding, my 60-year-old achy joints stopped hurting, I have a LOT more energy - and the smoothies are very satisfying, so I'm also losing weight and feel overall about 15 years younger. :w00t:

Also not eating as much meat or "bad" things . . . and not missing them either. wooo hooo!! Green smoothie power! :D

Right now gonna make some hummus for a hummus pizza (no dairy - just schmeer with hummus, pile on veggies and bake.

Smashed up Chickpeas (garbanzo beans) YUM. I often buy store made hummus and use it as a dip. Good snack. Never tried it as a pizza. My daughters are in to smoothies. They love the Jamba Juice joint!

 I have the eating habits of a 5 year old: Yummy things go in my mouth, icky things do not! All dark green veggies are icky!

Ahhhh but Jeffbert it takes like a blend of banana, pineapple and strawberries!

The first day I used beets, tomatoes and 3 cloves of garlic (with about 9 other things), and it was "strong" in a garlicky way). Now I've learned the trick! I does LOOK scary though.

@Penguin - yeah we got the idea from a vegan restaurant, and it's really delicious (Steve doesn't eat dairy because of his asthma). Also tastes great (hummus) layered with eggplant (as you would in a parm) then covered with tomato sauce and baked. Hmmm . . . I think this belongs in the recipe thread! XD

We have this great restaurant called "Sweet Tomatoes" (AKA "Souplantation" in other parts of the country) near us that has a HUGE salad bar and a large selection of home made soups. Some of the soups are "vegi" (no meat) others can have chicken, turkey, beef, or 'oink' in them. They also have a selection of breads with and without cheese in them.

My memories of green beans are likely a bit inaccurate, but I still prefer avoiding the chance of needing to cleanse my tongue of unsavory things. My mom tricked me into tasting a pear; she insisted it was a green apple, but I knew better. Though it may actually have been pleasant, all I remembered tasting was deceit!

My wife and I have this funny memory of the time we tried to give our daughters some of the Gerber baby foods meats. They loved the Gerber veggies and fruits, but the Gerber meats were putrid smelling (to us, but we didn't know what babies would think of it). As soon as the spoon went into the mouth, the expression on their faces was classic, and one of them started to cry.
We brought the unopened jars back to the supermarket for a refund!

I never posted this at the time, but just before summer started I bought myself a new pair of sandals. I never liked sandals before I found out about the Luna Huaraches. These are much better than plain old flip-flops.

They've become my weekend shoes.
