GIZMAG has a tribute page to the man who made American cars that ran with the European supercars: Vale Carroll Shelby - Texas chicken farmer, racer, philanthropist, automotive entrepreneur

I only briefly skimmed it, but this guy was a race driver, engineer, & other things. It is sad that he is gone. I thought his GT (AC Ace) was just about the coolest small car, ever.
