I don't know if anyone has made a post about this before (they probably have, I just can't remember right now), but Anime Sols has posted on their twitter feed that they will be streaming and taking pledges for the 2004 Black Jack series.

I'm pretty sure it's already been subbed if that's what you're talking about. I'm watching Black Jack TV on Viki rift now, and it looks like it might be the series you're talking about. I'll have to check the year on it.

Does Anime Sols have a working site up yet? Are they on Facebook?
I think almost all of the BlackJack Anime episodes have been given the Fansub treatment, but I don't know if there have been any OFFICIAL subs or dubs done other than one or two DVD's that are out there.
BTW Astro has appeared (drawn as Tobio) in several of the Blackjack manga, and he was in one or two of the Anime episodes.
The stories were "You did it!" and "There were two films" (tv episode #41). In the manga version of the first (and I think in the anime as well) Astro (As Tobio) plays a boy trying to find out who killed his brother and avenge him. He doesn't know that BlackJack has saved his brother.
In the second one in the Anime (but NOT in the manga) A movie director played by Tenma (and called Tenma) hires Blackjack to star in a file where he operates on the movie director's son to cure a fatal disease. The boy is Tobio.

Facebook
Twitter

The website is AnimeSols.com but it isn't launched yet. An announcement is expected to be made at Anime Central on the 17th. Once the site is up, we'll all be able to join the community there and talk directly to the companies and make requests, like Astro Boy 2003 uncut!
