*Revives Thread*

I've seen this thread a long time ago when I first joined, though I never bothered to reply to it, cause I thought it would be filled with spoilers.

Anyways, I love Black Jack, though I never got a chance to finish watching 21. I've heard about a part in the series where Black Jack stops Dr. Kiriko from shooting a patient. (An episode I've never seen yet.) Though its funny cause I found it by looking at a black jack yaoi doujinshi strip from deviantart. I perfer the 2004 series.

Wow, I've never seen the adult Pinoko before!! :)

Yep, that series is too excellent for words. I like it! Black Jack 21 and the 2003 original Japanese series for Tetsuwan Atomu are my favorite Tezuka animated series ever.

"AprilSeven" wrote:Well, Saraku (I think that's his name) was in BJ21 and he was a very endearing little guy, so I'm certain I'll check that out as well! Thanks for the recommendation!

His name is Sharaku Hosuke, which is supposed to sound like Sherlock Holmes. His friend Wato-san's name on the other hand sounds like "Watson". ;)

I really enjoyed Black Jack 21. I thought the writing to be clever, how they were able to take some of Tezuka's Black Jack stories and string them together in a way that made them seem seamless and all part of a great plot.

I love that 21 was not as episodic but cumulative in a story. It was really refreshing to see.

I loved BJ 21. I never finished it though. (They took it off of youtube when I was in the middle of watching it.) Though, truthfully, I liked them all. Both of the series were good. I liked the OVAs as well, it's just that each episode is an hour long almost, which takes up a lot of time, But I guess that's what's great about them.
