ImageShack is no longer free?

So I've been using ImageShack for about a year and a half now and just this morning when I went to upload images I discovered that it wouldn't let me unless I got a 'premium' account. They are offering 'free' trials now for thirty days though, but this is quite depressing.

Anyone else having this problem?
What other image hosting sites work very well with ABO that are not DA or Tumblr? I think we have had issues with photobucket in the past.

I don't use imageshack cause of all the annoying pop ups and nasty and innapropiate pictures they have on it.
Anyways, I wouldn't approve of using imageshack cause of all the grusome and innapropiate images there, but that's just what I think.
I use photobucket, cause its safe and the community is family friendly and nice. I also like how they give you a whole lot of space to store your files in.
I also use OverPic, which is an easy and free image sharing site with your own personal space to store files

Popups? Guesome images? I've never seen these things. I just use it to host images and I don't look at anything else. I've never had one popup or one piece of advertisement come through on their site. Which was one of the main reasons why I liked it so much.
I would consider photobucket but if I'm not mistaken we've had issues with that site here on ABO. The images hosted there then hyperlinked here eventually 'clock out' or something and the image disappears on us here. Not sure though... Which is why I asked.

Get yourself a web site on weebly.com for free and you can host any kind of file there. That's what I've been doing.

Oh, then imageshack must've had those problems years ago cause I remember that happening back when I was 10-12. (I don't use it anymore, so I probably would'nt know.) I'm 15 now, btw.
Images dissapearing on ABO? I never had that problem before. Again, this also could've been a problem that has been fixed years ago.

Hmmm. This (weebly) looks very interesting. I think I'll look into that.
Thanks!
As for disappearing images I believe that has been a problem here. I know for a fact that it happens with a certain amount of consistency on another forum. The images will show up but may only last for a week and then will vanish with a little photobucket error image saying that the image is no longer available.
And yeah, so far for me imageshack has been great! The best image hosting site that I have found with no hyperlink issues.

Photobucket user here, and I can say that I've had no problems with Photobucket since I got an account 3 or 4 years ago.
Otherwise, there's a site called
Tinypic where you can upload images even without registering for an account (though you can get an account if you want. Personally, I haven't tried it). Having uploaded images without registering an account there, I can say that I have had a great experience with Tinypic. I used it before getting a Photobucket account years ago and loved it.

I guess it just depends on the forum and the file type then. Hm. Glad I still asked.
I'll look into getting a Photobucket account if there generally is no problem here with that particular site.

Hmmm. I don't think Tinypic exists anymore. I remember going on there and uploading pics so I can share them back in 2011-2012, but ever since then it has been shutdown and is no longer available online.

It's sad, cause that was a pretty good image hosting site too.
Anyways, Yeah so I'm also a Photobucket user as well, and I've never had any problems with it on ABO so far. I also use OverPic. That's another very good image sharing site that some of you should check out sometime. I approve it!

Tinypic still exists. Click on the word "Tinypic" (the green link) in my previous post or in my quote.
