Thanks for the responses, guys! :)

It's interesting to see your stories about the technology you guys grew up with. I had dail-up in my house when I was really young. I still remember having to get off when someone had to use the phone. If only you younger members on here knew the joys of dial-up. :p

One thing I noticed I forgot to mention was that my phone is not a smartphone, so I'm not able to access the internet on it anyway. Also, I don't use my phone often. I'm not a big texter, personally. That made not using the internet for two days a little easier for me.

Such as hearing "hello" in the modem and quickly click on hang up? :p Did that  Fax sounds in the modem is also a fun variant :whistling:

The fax machine sounds and the screeching of dial-up is probably one of the worst sounds to ever be conceived of in human history.

Oh yes, I remember how going from a 28.8 modem to a 33.6 was an amazing improvement! I also remember being allowed only X hours on the Internet from the ISP. :d oh:

Some of you may think that you wouldn't procrastinate as much if you didn't have the Internet. Well, trust me, you would, because you would simply find something else to do instead. :p
