Changing a URL link name in your post

I don't know if this is common knowledge on here or not, so I thought I'd share with you guys how to change a URL link name in your post to just say the name of the media you're sharing.

When you typically share a link in a post, it looks like this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D4HVYZhohGw

In order to change the name of the link, put an equal sign after "url" in the part of the link that says [url]. After the equal sign, put the normal URL. It should look like this:

Once you've done that, just type in the name of the media you're sharing after the closing bracket in the above example I just gave:

[url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D4HVYZhohGw]Old Astro Boy opening

After all that, just make sure that [ / u r l ] (without the spaces) is at the end of the link. The final result should look like this (again, without the spaces):

[ u r l = http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D4HVYZhohGw ] Old Astro Boy opening [ / u r l ]

Here's the link without spaces:

[url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D4HVYZhohGw]Old Astro Boy opening

Keep in mind that you can put whatever name you want in the link (where I put "Old Astro Boy opening" in the above example), so if you want to give many examples in a sentence like this...

I like the 1963 opening, 1980 opening, and first 2003 opening.

...you can insert the links around each example, like this:

I like the 1963 opening, 1980 opening, and first 2003 opening.

I'm sure many of you know this already, but I thought I'd share it for those that didn't know before. If there's something I should fix or add in this post, let me know.

Otherwise, I hope this is helpful! :)

Maybe someone should make a sticky thread for all the 'hidden' syntax commands for this forum to make use easier? Such as with URLs and spoilers and whatever else isn't easily accessible when making a reply?
