Imust agree that pertwee is a fave. Tom Baker is all time best to me.

Supposedly, Douglas Adams (who wrote the Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy), co-wrote a few of the Dr. Who scripts. Well, in his novel, "Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency", the title character runs into a time traveler, who is somewhat loosely described as the good doctor. I need to re-read that book and find the passage.

I'll say this for Baker. He played the doctor longer than anybody else. He was in the character so long that it's almost as hard NOT to think of him as Dr. Who, as it is to NOT think of Sean Connery (or Roger Moore) as James Bond.

Yup, I'd have to say the 4th Doctor is my favorite from the classic series. I've only seen a few episodes with him so far (I try to watch a few episodes at a time with each Doctor), but I've begun to really like him. My favorite Doctor for the modern series is number 10. His regeneration was so sad, but at the same time, it was a bit funny when he became the 11th Doctor that he kinda woke up a bit confused. It's always kinda sad when the Doctor regenerates, but at the same time, it's kinda happy to see which new character comes next. In a way its like they're all the same character, but at the same time, they're not, all their different personalities and looks (Speaking of which, what the heck is up with 6's outfit!? XD) That's what makes Doctor Who very unique I guess. :)

According to the canon, a time lord can only regenerate 12 times, so there can only be 13 doctors. Well, we are almost there now! I wonder how they are going to get around that?

Hmm. You know, I remember reading something about that, but I'm having a hard time finding it. If I remember correctly, someone asked BBC about that, and I think they answered or implied since The Doctor was pretty much one of the last of his kind, he may have somehow been able to gain a couple extra lives? I don't remember for sure, and I'm having a hard time remembering where I read that. I can't even remember if I read it on Wikipedia, or Doctor Who wiki. Ugh! If you'll excuse me, I'm gonna dive headfirst into Cyber Hell to find what they said so I know I'm giving the right info.

Okay, this is interesting. Apparently this was done as an amateur project or something several years back. I love this, it has somewhat of an old school 80's or 90's original video animation feel to it. The Daleks and Cybermen look really impressive. I still need an explanation for the girl character, I'm assuming she's probably a fan character of the animator or something. But man, this is awesome!

I know right! To tell you the truth, when I saw the Cybermen in the new series, I kinda thought they looked like some sorta villains in those Japanese live action superhero shows, but in this video, they look like pretty legit robot villains.

interesting thing, the cybermen and daleks in that anime are evenly matched, where as in the actual show, at lease the new series the cybermen can't hold a candle to daleks.

also I couldn't help but see the similarities between the cybermen of doctor who and the borg of startrek.

a cyberman even said "you will be assimilated", though I can't remember what ep that was in.
