DORORO on DVD, English subs

Postby jeffbert » 6 years ago

I by chance stumbled upon a topic at T in E, & learned of its availability. Just yesterday, I finished viewing the 3rd of 4 discs. Very well done! This set is inexpensive, appears to have the same video quality as the 5 disc set in Japanese (only); it even includes the pilot. There are no extras, though.

I very much want to discuss the series! Somebody please buy the set, available from amazon.com!

I wonder how you pronounce 'Dororo'. Japanese doesn't really have an 'r' sound, IIRC it's almost sounded like an 'L', but not quite, perhaps rolled like some sounds in Spanish.

It is rolled like the Spanish 'R' , but much shorter. As you said, almost like a 'L' .
