Anyway it seems to me, that this episode is based upon Ray Bradbury's Marionettes. In that story, a husband who values playing golf & such as having more value than being with his wife. He learns of a company that makes androids that are modeled on customers. These androids take care of the drudgery tasks that the customers would rather avoid. However, there is a catch! Bradbury himself wrote the screenplay for the Alfred Hitchcock Presents version Design for Loving (1958), which had much the same plot as the Ray Bradbury Theater version that I saw. I never read the short story, though.

So, these space aliens out of the apparent kindness of their hearts, come to Earth, and share their technology with the Earthmen. Nobody even begins to question their motives, or exercise the least bit of caution, as was done in the cases of Garon & the Monster Machine.

I don't know if I remember some of the scenes you posted from the ELV, especially the one with the binoculars and the mini Astro with a big nose and glasses.

This reminds me of a PYTHON sketch.




This is a 4 layer clip: it has the near portion of the net, the guys being swept into the net, the rear portion of the net, then the clouds scrolling behind that. When Atom & Uran were dressed for ROBOT SCHOOL, the sequence was only a 2 layer one. They were supposed to be underneath the press, but were really behind it. Oh, yes, I do have frames for a GIF!
