This episode is essentially a version of, err, inspired by Gernica (the giant snails story).
The girl is ミミ / Mimi / Mimi. She has come seeking Atom, because she believes only he can help.
Being very excited, she tells as best she can, about the trouble at the robot farm.
05, Rescue the robot farm
Re: 05, Rescue the robot farm
But, when she speaks of giant veggies,
Mimi storms off in anger,
Finally, Atom shows up, and Mimi explains
So cute!

more to come.
Re: 05, Rescue the robot farm
加田里 (kanji meaning 'Addition,' 'Rice field,' & 'Village' respectively, among other things; though obviously not as a unit) / Kata sato / Kada-ri - in the 1st of many attempts to discredit robots, had gained the trust on Mimi, & sabotaged the robot farm's climate control machine.
Despite her best attempts, Mimi cannot convince Atom that this man is a villain. Atom believes Katari's lie, & the two kids follow Katari's directions, & descend the stairs into the heart of the machine.
Katari gloatingly tells him he has been tricked, & they will both soon be destroyed.
Obvioulsy lacking one of his original seven powers, Atom seem bewildered. Mimi is angry at his naivete, & blames it on his being a robot.

Atom's view:
Re: 05, Rescue the robot farm
Putting the finishing touches on his scheme, Katari tells the people that the coming flood is Atom's fault. Katari tried to stop the disaster, etc., but bot Atom & Mimi were killed.
But- quite unexpectly, Mimi has arrived, and tells the truth!
Re: 05, Rescue the robot farm
Aww! How cute!

It seems to me, that there is just too much robot - Human conflict in this, a 50 episode series. While there was plenty in both the manga & B&W series, & some in Jetter Mars & the 1980 series, there is simply too much here.
