This is not the same as "unclear". A sentence may be ambiguous AND clear, as strange as it might be
Let's take the sentence: "I am going down." In which way am I going down? If I am at the second floor and I am called from the first one, that basically means "I am coming." If I am phoning to someone and I am in a plane, the other party will be worried Only the context makes the sentence clear in this case, but it is ambiguous.
