Researching Tezuka's war years life.

I'm putting together notes for a future story on fanfiction.net on Osamu Tezuka's life during World War II, Any helpful research materials are appreciated.

Great idea. My dad was in Japan for a while just at the end of the war (he was a Marine, and is the same age Dr. Tezuka would have been). Any particular things you'd like to know about the country and how things were back then, I'll be happy to help.
