Photoshop the picture game
Thanks! It took a long time because I don't think I did it the easy way...I had to cut the hands....then put the image of the DVD on the spot where the hands were...then pasted the hands on top of them. It wasn't too hard, it just took a while.

I also had to fill in some white spaces around the DVDs. I tried to do it perfectly, but you can notice I messed up a little. I'm very proud of my image though!

That's actually how I did it. Although I didn't cut the hands, I just made a copy on another layer, erased what was around and put the layer of the new hands over the layer of what I put in his hands.Latu wrote:Thanks! I didn't know how to copy it. So I just cut it. Pretty much the same thing though. Now since I know how to use Gimp, I should do fine in future pictures.

I don't know what the tool is in Gimp, but in Painshop Pro there's a tool called Magic Wand. If you use it and click on an area, it will select everything up to where the colour changes. You can adjust the tolerance so it also selects pixels with a similar colour, and the feather so it gives it a soft edge. I cut around the hands using this (tolerance 20 or 30, feather 2) and it only takes a few clicks. Of course, then you need to clean it up a bit with a round soft-edge eraser.
Oh, but at least Gimp is free.
By the way, weren't you going to pick a winner today?
