No, not that Atlas, this one, the one who went to the moon: [QUOTE=MegaAstroFan75;96813]Actually while we're on the subject of the 2003 Atlas, at which point did Daichi actually die? Because the English version edited the script to make Daichi always a robot, but they do suggest that incidents with...

Atlas' adult body is meant to be like a Greek. Hence the name Atlas, as in the Titan who was condemned to hold up the sky. The 2003 version is also referencing this tale a bit in that Daichi and his robot reincarnation Atlas want to go to the Moon, which is in the heavens. Actually while we're on th...

The position of those spikes changes depending on the angle. Just one of those animated things that likes to move around. Like the direction of Lan's hair in Mega Man NT Warrior, or Robin's in Teen Titans, or Kerchak's body vanishing entirely at the end of Tarzan, or Sabor's doing the same thing ear...

I hate subs. So damn boring and pointless. I watch dubs, and only dubs. If you got turned off after the first episode of the 2003 dub for whatever weird reason, then you missed how awesome it gets. That is, parents might have objected to a father who not only rejects his son, but who makes his life miser...

My apologies to those who might have already said this, but I wonder if they changed Tenma because of objections to making him as dark as he was in past versions. That is, parents might have objected to a father who not only rejects his son, but who makes his life miserable. Yet, upon checking my m...

[QUOTE=Laughing Dragon;96038]I understand the responses here to the movie Tenma. But in terms of handling a difficult character in such a way that general audiences could accept it, I think the movie Tenma works very well. He helps bring the plot full circle - he rejects Astro at first, then works ...

As I said I had expected the film to be lighter, and therefore have a much nicer Tenma. It happens. Actually Tenma's a grieving father and husband, cause his wife either left him or died, depending on the continuity. I tend to favour the situation of his wife having died first which leads to his gro...
