Please tell me about her role in the game. I'm pretty sure I won't find it anywhere.

That's right.

Tezuka and disney met at the 1964 worlds fair. Disney said that he loved astro boy and wanted to make something just like it. I'm 95 percent sure a picture exists of the two together, but that disney company has all available prints, and most likely wont release them, for fear that by agnologing the...

We will never know. But incidentally, Tezuka considered 2001 to be one of his favorite films. You can see his influence on the set designs and general look of it. Keubrick was a master, and took influence from a master. We lost them both too soon. But you are right, if Astro were there the ship woul...

Hmmm, I have a feeling that nothing but a word-by-word direct translation from the original manga onto the movie screen would have satisfied you. Do you really believe, however, that such a translation would have resulted in bigger box office here in the U.S.? Remember, there aren't that many Astro...

Yes, but to quote an old musical line: "For me, it's all or nothing." I was fine with some of the changes they made, but I can't just be grateful that they made the movie at all. I was expecting a film that would set the standard of western adaptations of anime characters. That would be slightly mor...

Oh yah, such changes really helped this film be a hit both here and in Japan  . I'm just saying if they were so intent on westernizing , Pixarizing, and modernizing everything about astro. why not just call the dad Dr. Boyton, like in the 80's show. That would have made more sense. And did...

Nothing, when it's appropriate. Just say the name in your head. Bill Tenma. It doesn't work. they went out of their way to take everything anime like or Japanese out of the film, and the characters, and have reaped the results.

I wasn't asking for that with the film. I just wanted it to be a bit darker, like it was in the pre production phases, not take away his cute kid voice, and not add so many new characters that it takes time away from the older ones who quite frankly matter more. And I think they didn't have to chang...

Personally, If they ever try and do another movie with him, I hope they learn from the last one. Sorry to differ, but I think the recent movie failed (beyond the obvious reasons of limited advertising) because IMAGI was just way to cautious, and changed everything about him that made him great, whil...
