Well, yeah, the idea of sentient AI probably predates Tezuka, but in Astro's universe, the applied technology is a whole 'nother shpiel. :) Edit:I'm a huge dork for AI, for you young uns, my av is of Max Headroom, the intelligent computer virus. He was briefly popular in the UK and US in the mid '80s.

I dunno, man, he was awful calculating to be just frustrated. In the second epp he encourages Astro to play that ball-game-tournament-thingy by threatening to murder everyone in the stadium, and then pulling the strings that led up to that Blue Knight's robo uprising....and then shoving the poor kid...

I love Skunk, I think he's Tezuka's creepiest villian, he's got such a serial murderer vibe going on with him, yet he's goofy at the same time.
