Well, I can't personally think of any online petition that worked, except the ones set up by companies planning to do it anyway (Bioshock Collector's Edition, anyone?). In four days, I'll place the order for the first volume. Until then, I'll be watching Giant Robo and Legend of the Galactic Heroes ...

I'm pretty sure it won't have Eternal Boy. I'd also like to compare the VOBs of the Korean and Japanese releases; there might be a difference in quality.

Oh, cool. I might ask for the Korean subs, considering their quality. Also, I figured out a good way to make some money (to buy more DVDs) doing this without screwing anyone over: If I upload the finished episodes to DepositFiles, I can have 1 cent per download added to a PayPal account from their b...

Make sure to stick around after the credits if this is your first time playing.

I haven't actually seen the whole series; I fell in love with the GBA game when it came out, recently found out YouTube had the series, watched the first couple of episodes and the voices and obvious cuts (I'd never seen it before and I could still tell they were cutting t...

Yep, originals still in shrink-wrap, from Amazon.co.jp. They're pretty expensive, but I can't find any cheaper alternatives. At least I'm not going for the absurdly priced Collector's Editions...

The Korean subs are pretty good for the most part, judging from the parts I could watch. There are a few lines here and there that could use a rewrite, but it seems to be pretty faithful to the original dialogue while maintaining readability. I should be able to order the first volume in a little mo...

I'm going for Japanese audio with English subtitles. Amazon's Japan site wants $23 to ship Volume 1 to the US (putting the final cost around 10 dollars more than I can afford). This is making me reconsider my "no donations" policy, but begging for money/wishlist purchases would leave a bad taste in ...

I noticed the clock in the upper left corner. Some Japanese TV stations (including the station that broadcast Astro Boy) add a clock to remind people not to watch for too long and make it to school/work on time. So, it's almost certainly a Japanese TV rip; I hope you didn't pay too much.
