Thanks for responding. You know, for the last 4 months one thing that helped me is looking at this picture you drew of me in the "Sibling Angels" thread. It always made me smile since my brother and I were the ones that took care of mom when she couldn't anymore - and she never once missed an opportunity to tell us, or the doctors that we are her angels.

My family used it in the bookmark in memory of a family member a few years ago, and even today it gets right through my heart when I read it. The English version is the original but I like the French version so much more anyway, so here it is.

You are also quite young to have to bear the loss of a parent. Everyone wants 'experience' but this isn't quite what we have in mind!
I guess the part that I struggle with the most right now is the thought that I can never go "home".

Glad to hear she's doing better

I think I'm alright, just frustrated, and sad. She wasn't old, unless you think 59 is old. She was diagnosed with terminal cancer 3 months ago and was told she had between 1 and 5 years to live. In a way it's good that it went that fast, though.

Aww. My grandmother died at the age of 52, I think. ): But at least your mom is in a better place, right? ^___^ Terminal cancer? D: Both my grandmothers passed away from cancer, as well. Anyways, I'm glad you are okay. *hugs*
