I love the ripple effect of the water and the shine in Astro's eyes. my ony critic is the angle Astro's facing doesn't look right with the water level. other than that the person has drawn and colored him in beautifully. wuv the wittle fishies =3

I know a few of these sites! Some of that cartoony Tenma and Astro art comes from Mars Attack, a Japanese site that hasn't updated in quite a while. That super-pretty Tenma art is from No Life King, which I shouldn't link to, since it's got a lot of mature artwork under the surface.

This comes from one of my favorite sites, Even Now...

I'd also recommend Aquarius Sea, which has a lot of portrait pictures of the Tezuka girls, but the site owner has a thing for Tima especially. Rikans is the best place in the world for Princess Saphire art.

As I've learned from experience, save any and all art you find on Japanese sites that you like. They close down unexpectedly, and it can be incredibly frustrating.

I do too, I love for Japanese art. I don't know what it is, something the style has depth to it. I think that's why I prefer it to american style cartoons, because it just seems more serious and emotional.

Not saying american cartoon art sucks, just things like um....Ben 10, blah. x_x

Yeah, anime show more emotions and asthetics then in most american style cartoons. that i agree some cartoons just don't cut it.

I have watched all kinds of anime and cartoons and my favorite was the semi-anime style of the powerpuff girls, I don't remember any american cartoon shows that i liked that weren't japanese anime, like the original pokemon with misty, brock and Ask,magical doraeme, case closed/detective conan, the first yugioh, the original digimon, and sailor moon
yeah, i've watch many kinds of japanese anime

exept, most of the anime that I watched were when I was in pre-school/first grade and were in german. when I lived in Belguim. we had german/belgian cable and we watch the channels that were available and yeah all the cartoons were either in french or german. you can say i've lived my younger childhood rather exotic and unique.
