Toby's point of view

Yes, I understand that Toby is dead, but what if he was an angel? What if he could see everything that went on? Well, strap in and hang on because here we go !!!


Toby's point of view:


"It's not fair!" Yelled Toby Tenma, a newly deceased teenager, only 14 years of age.

"I DESERVE A SECOND CHANCE!!!" continued Toby.

"Toby, everyone says that when they first come to heaven, you all have your fazes and you all will get out of them soon enough." the lady Toby was speaking to said.

"But mom! It really wasn't! My life was finally good! I had a girlfriend, I didn't get bullied as much, and I was going to see an A-class robot demonstration for the first time, and Dad was running it!"

"but your forgetting that you girlfriend moved away, you were still getting bullied, and that robot was the cause of all this!.. Beside, now you get to spend time with your mother." explained mrs. Tenma.

"well, I guess there is one plus... But I don't think it's far that you and almost ever other dead person get to become guardians!" Toby said while crossing his arms and looking down.

"Toby, you know as well as I do that we're not called dead people, we're called angels.
And there wasn't anyone for you to be a guardian of."

"what about dad, or my girlfriend Meghan! Or anyone!"

"well, I'm your dads guardian, Meghan doesn't need a guardian, and you have to know the person."

"do you know an answer for everything?"*

"of course! * * * *"sigh* what if I were to spread around a rumor of how Meghan is in desperate need of a guardian, to bad Toby's not one..."

"really? You'd really do that for me?"

"I will always try to make my baby happy." and with that Toby hugged his mother and she then left to start her daily duty of protecting Toby's dad.

Then, Toby went over to his cloud made bed and pulled out a journal from his pocket.

📝It's been about 6 months now since I've been dead.
In a few days it will be me and Meghan's eight month anniversary. I wonder if she even remembers me? Does she know I died? Does she already have another boyfriend?

Well, anyways, mother is trying to get me into the guardian angel business for Meghan. Thank goodness! I'm tired of having the job of opening to gate every five seconds for some new comer. It's so boring!*

I really want to know how dad is coping with out me. It's like him to go crazy, by now he probably has tried making a robot copy! Ha! 📝

After he was done writing, Toby decided that if he didn't want to be fired from the job he already had, he'd better get his butt to the gates.

Everything was going normal with Toby, welcoming to news and greeting them politely. Same routine everyday. Over, and over, and over. But, then Toby heard that the next one was a kid his age. Maybe Toby would be so bored after all.
The boy walked up to the gates and Toby opened them, once the boy was inside, Toby when to say hello but was stunned at what he saw! The boy had his clothes on, his red boots, and his hair style! They looked like twins!*

"are-are y-you Toby?" the new boy asked.

"yeah, how'd you know?" Toby replied

"I think I'm, I think I'm you! But, not you... My names astro."

"Astro?"

"yes, this may sound strange, but, well... Our dad... He created me to look like you."*

"...our dad? Don't you mean your creator, your master. He's not your dad, he's my dad."

"no! You don't understand, I-I... What's happening to me?" Astro said as he noticed that he was slowly fading away.

"you can't go back! Not now! You can't live my life for me! It's not right! Come back!" but by the time Toby was finished, Astro was gone.

"oh, good for that boy, looks like they saved him down on earth. Lucky!" a man working the other side of the gate said.

"I-I I have to go!" Toby yelled as he ran as fast as possible to his dwelling, waiting very impatiently for his mother to return with an explanation.*

Now this is one, creative fanfic - BRAVO to you Astrogirl927!!! Definitely keep it going!! I always feel like Toby gets neglected! I love the way Astro appears and then "fades away" - it would be cool for Toby to be Astro's "G.A.'

"why hello Toby! Your home early! Oh I had the toughest day today." his mother said, not noticing the strange look Toby had.

"....mom... Are you telling me everything? You know, about dad?" Toby asked, think about earlier.

"well, of course I have! Why do you ask?" she asked with curiosity.

"today, at the gates, there was a boy... Well, not really a boy, it was a robot...
And he was wearing my old clothes, and... Looked like me..."

"I guess its time I told you... You see, your father went crazy after you died, he did the best thing he could do to try and bring you back, and that was to make a copy of you..."

"it's not right! Your telling me that that pick of metal is living MY LIFE for me!"

"I'm sorry Toby, but your father is happy."

"why was that THING up here anyway?"

"your father had to deactivate him. But then he brought him back to life... Well, I only stopped by for a break, I think we should both be heading back to the gates, don't you?"

"sure... Let's go." and with that, the two walked to the gates, and Toby's mother flew away.

After awhile, he seemed to have forgotten about Astro... That is until he heard that the next person coming in was the kid from earlier...

Here we go again....

Once astro reappear to the gates, He walked up and waited for the gates to open.
But they didn't.*
Astro walked all the way up to the gate.

" um, hello?" astro asked.

"what do you want?" Toby retorted

" to be let in."

" know can do, you see, besides just opening the gate, I also get to decide if you pass or go to hell."

" what! Let me in! This isn't far!"

" This isn't far? What about me! I died and my dad made you to copy me! Now that's not far, so stop your complaining!"

" but you can't not let me in just because you ave a grudge against me!"

" and why not?"

"because..( and right on time astro started to fade away again) well I looks like I'm going back again... Listen Toby, I don't want you to be mad at me for something I didn't do..."
Then astro vanished.

" going to live my life for me, that's great..." the rest of the day, went by fast and Toby got to go home where he discovered "a slap in the face" of news...
