What would fit in the context of Mighty Atom?

I was thinking in a story which a evil organization replace human children with identical robot copies who simulate their behavior and tastes.

However, what these children don't know is that organization wish to brainwash and turn them into mindless soldiers while their parents are fooled by the robot copies.

After an accident, Atom would discover that a human child was actually a robot in desguice and with this he would investigate the case.

A concept of story like that would fit in the style of the series?

Plot: A little girl constantly receives phone calls from her mother who begs for help.
However, her mother DIED a year ago due heart failure in the hospital.

One day, that girl manage to asks where the voice was coming from and it said she was in an abandoned mansion located in the city's outskirts.

By coincidence, Atom and his friends are making a test of courage which they'll visit the haunted house.

What would be reserved for both Atom, his friends and that girl who is receiving phone calls from her dead mother?

I was thinking if would be fair a story which Atom kills a cyborg who kills people for it's evil organizator.

I recall that there was a issue of the series since Atom had destroyed a enemy robot and some americans called Atom as a 'assassin' for killing one of his own kind.

But, if he had to destroy a cyborg who mindlessly kill people following orders of a evil organization?
