In my case, 'made fun' would be the wrong term. I remember my dad wasn't happy at all
when I used to watch the french 80's series. Everytime he saw me sitting in front of the
TV watching Astroboy, he went like: 'Oh no, not that one again'.
My dad was a very religious man (and he still is), and at that time then he told me he
worried about me of loving Astroboy more than I would love god. Some of his worries
I can understand now but then I couldn't. He thought I couldn't distinguish reality from
fiction, so a couple of times he forbidded me to watch Astroboy. I remember how I was
really p***ed  .
Sometimes I used to watch it in secret when my dad wasn't around, but it was a oppressive feeling to watch something declared as alleged 'forbidden'. :(

Maybe it was also a sort of late revenge I buyed all 17 Astroboy-tapes 1 1/2 years ago. ;)

Sorry dear dad, but I have to say now: BITE ME! :P :P :D  :wahah: :P

Now, just one question: what happened to the "weeeeeep whooop" sound Astro used to make when he was walking around? That dates it! Yep, I'm a viewer from '63!

When I was a kid, I thought he had suction cups on his feet. I too, missed those squaky feet as I viewed the 80s series, until I began viewing the new series, because both Atom and Uran's feet squeak!

OK, so I do not advertise my fondness for the robot children, but I have a mouse pad hanging upon the wall, and wallpaper on the pc. I also have mouse pointers, but having just moved to a new pc, I have to suffer with the inverted extra large pointers for a while longer. :D

Rock on..

I was made fun of a little, but I didn't care, the fun of astro died for me when I turned 9.
