Tic Tac Astro said just what I was going to say about the "Other Astro" gallery. The nude pics. were a little, ehem , you know.

What I also didn't like was the pic. of Astro getting shot in the back with an arrow and blood dripping down it. NOOOOO!, Don't let are presious little angel die, PLEASE!, or do another pic. with him recovering. Most of the pics. are beautiful art though. I really like the Jetter Mars pics. He was the 70's Astro, in which Tezuka wanted to "update" Astro, but the public didn't want that, so a few years later, enter the '80 to '81 Astro. That pic. of Jetter and girl friend statues must have been taken at the Tezuka museum, for who else would remember them.

Nice pics. of Astro toys Sky Cloud. Love to own them.

Happy New Year, Jeffbert.

I'm glad you noticed the similarity with Mighty Mouse. I'm a Mighty Mouse fan, and I noticed that even though people say that Tezuka was influenced by Disney, I think he must have been a Paul Terry fan too. Just compare the eyelashes on Mighty Mouse and Astro, and compare the spacing of eyes of Tezuka's characters and Terry's, and then compare the ears of Mighty and Kimba The White Lion, see what I mean. I think sometimes he was infuleced more by Paul Terry and Max Flescher than Disney.

Also unlike Disney, who except for the 7 min. cartoons of Mickey and Donald, Disney just makes movies of classic liturature.
Tezuka on the other hand made up all his charaters, and they had a heart and soul, because he breathed life into them and treated them as if they were real. What a genius he was, no other animator comes close.

it is a little on the freakishly unnerving side, i dont like a few of those pictures, if tezuka was alive today, im sure he wouldnt like most of them either


there's a thin line here of drawing a innocent sketches, and going over the line with some of the said sketches asa couple strokes here and there would make some of drawings into hentai
