Heres another picture I found from variety japan with Astro and director David Bowers. I wonder what is the Japanese response to the teaser trailer.

"Blue" energy? I guess the whole thing with atomic power (being used for good rather than bombs) has lost its meaning these days. I'm not complaining, I just think it's interesting.
A thrilling tale of a true hero, Astro Boy is an all-new, feature film full of action, adventure, humor and heart. It will be brought to life on the big screen in breathtaking CGI animation on October 23rd, 2009.
Set in futuristic Metro City, Astro Boy is about a young robot with incredible powers created by a brilliant scientist named Tenma (Nicolas Cage). Powered by positive blue energy, Astro Boy (Freddie Highmore) is endowed with super strength, x-ray vision, unbelievable speed and the ability to fly.
Embarking on a journey in search of acceptance, Astro Boy encounters many other colorful characters along the way. Through his adventures, he learns the joys and emotions of being human, and gains the strength to embrace his destiny. Ultimately learning his friends and family are in danger, Astro Boy marshals his awesome super powers and returns to Metro City in a valiant effort to save everything he cares about and to understand what it takes to be a hero.

BTW, does anyone else hear the John Williams Superman score when looking at that poster?![]()
AFAIK, it's illegal to buy/sell movie theatre displays due to copyright issues. It certainly is in Australia, anyway. The only way to get one is to work there and "retrive" it when it gets thrown out. It's not going to stop me from asking nicely though.

I know bus stop advertising can be acquired from some advertising agencies where I live, but you have to sign a contract that you'll never sell it.

one thing trough..
don't you guys find it like very very iritating to almost WAIT a year for this movie to see?
Lucky i have my games..
speaking of Games as a what they do with most children movies should there not be a upcomming Astro video game based on the movie? and even a comic book? they tend to come out way earlier then the movie itself.
Atleast in the USA.

Interesting. Must be just in Australia 'cause I'm pretty sure i've seen some on sale in various places. I could be wrong though
Hmm, I remember simply asking the owner of the local video rental store for a poster to a particular movie and she just gave it to me, once she no longer wanted it. These may not have been the same ones distributed to theatres, though. As far as copyright issues are concerned, I cannot imagine them having any bearing on the sale or distribution of posters from theatres or elsewhere. It may be a policy of certain companies to forbid the distribution, but I cannot envision a law being involved.
