Viki opened a Tezuka Anime channel on YouTube! The shows are getting an awful lot more views this way, and hopefully new fans.

They've also been subbing more Astro Boy episodes, now for a total of 16. I have a feeling they're gonna handle their own translations more now, in order to get as many episodes on YouTube as possible.

The first episode just got to 130,000 views. While there is a significant drop, it definitely shows that people are interested in subtitling of Tezuka products.

Heh, I wish I knew what was going on. Subs (that aren't a permanent feature) simply won't show, for me.

Have you tried clicking on close captioning and going to English? See if that helps you out.

The closed caption thingie simply doesn't show when I use my Wii, whether in Youtube XL or standard. Also, I don't own a computer, per se; I usually have to borrow one, but I haven't been able to, recently...

I remember the days when the 2004 Black Jack's were up on youtube on Tezuka anime's channel. (I used to watch them almost everyday after school.) As for the 90s series, yeah it was great, but I like the 2004 series a bit better cause the artwork and stories are based off Tezuka's works. Also, Black Jack and Pinoko are incredibly cute in the 2004 series. Plus, I like avex mode and all the great music. Though, I like the 90s series too and I'm currently watching the 11th and 12th episodes.

It's sad that the series had to go, especially considering the days' worth of time spent adding subtitles for it.

However I'm still glad I worked on it. For one, if I didn't, translators on the site might not have translated episodes of other series like Kimba or The Three-Eyed One cause they would have flocked to Black Jack first. And perhaps most importantly, getting the series subbed and then having Viki put it out there on YouTube might have created a lot of new fans who then supported the series on Anime Sols.
