It says in this Darkhorse translation that the images were reversed: "The artworkof this volume has been produced as a mirror-image of the original Japanese edition to conform to English-language standards." I take this to mean that the left-hand side of the frame was originally the right-hand side. I believe that Japanese books are read from right to left, last night I viewed the 2nd of 9 VHS tapes, that had Atom as the captian of a mars expidition.He was reading a diary, and it went from right to left.

There's one scene in volume 3 or 4 (I think) where one of the characters refers to something being on the left when it is in fact on the right. The words were translated correctly, but the direction was not corrected to make up for the mirror-imaging!
