1)I know I asked this question before but I didn't want to bump up an old topic from the past. After Atlas commits suicide when he's a youngster who ressurects him back to life as an aldut?
2)While I'm here, does anyone know if they're going to make more than 1 season of Astroboy?
3)Compare the quality of the episodes of the 1980s with the first half as opposed to the 2nd half. Which is better?(Japanese order)
4)I heard on the board here that the original Astroboy series is now on DVD in Japan. Does anyone know if some company like the Right Stuff is going to start selling all the Astroboy B&W episodes someday?
Question about Atlas in the 80s series

I do not believe that he doescommit suicide.

Episode 32 has already aired.

Jeffbert's right. He gets badly damaged by Walput Guiss, losing an arm and a leg, but he has enough strength left to rebuild himself and Livian.

I can't see any difference in quality. Do you mean the quality of the first half of the 80s series with the second half of the 80s series?

It's unlikely. They should release the 36 or so VHS episodes they already have onto DVD, but I don't think they have the rest (another 70 or so). The ones they have were gathered from various sources by The Right Stuf founder, I think the rest have been officially lost. When the licence expired on the original dubs, the dubbing company in the USA tried to send the dubbed masters back to the company in Japan. However, the company had gone bankrupt (not Tezuka Co, some other company) so they didn't have anyone to send them back to. They were legally required to have them destroyed and send back a certificate of destruction.
Having said that, this guy has a ton of rare Astroboy episodes available for private trading. About three quarters of all the episodes that were dubbed.
The other possibility is that some Hong Kong bootlegger will release a poorly subtitled English release like they did with half the 80s series, now that the Japanese DVDs are available. This is unlikely though. Even more unlikely are fan subs.
