As in the manga (& the 80s anime), Skunk was the villian behind the whole caper. The story opens with Skunk in court for what the English version says is sentencing, but as he ends up released, I must think it was the trial rather than sentencing.

Higeoyaji is rather upset and stunned at the verdict, which sets Skunk free.
Dr. Ochanomizu unveils his echtopsychoscope, & has poor Tawashi act as its first subject (victim):

Heh, the bad guys trying to take out Astro just shows you how low-budget the show looked compared to the 80's series. Astro just has to stand there, gaping up at the sky, while guys are trying to beat him up.
Punch-Out: Astro Style!
Starring: Astro as Little Mac, Dr. Elefun as the Referee, and Daddy Walrus as the Fat guy Who Makes You Wear a Pink Jogging Suit!

I checked fafner's server, and episode 6, suposedly "Lightning Man," was entitled "Mystery of Amless Dam." Um, this is the wrong episode, right? I downloaded "Zero, the Invisible robot," but this was the wrong episode too. Were they named wrong?

Zero was only released on DVD, so it might not be on the ftp server.
Ah, okay. Thank you for the info. I'll go ahead and buy the box set.
