Is ABO having technical troubles?

I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this, but since last week I have been having issues finding this site.
Sometimes it comes up saying the domain/server cannot be found. To make sure it's not my internet access I immediately tried on my work computer, my colleagues personal laptop and my iPhone.
Same thing happened.
Then a few hours later ABO is back again. This has been happening randomly on and off for nearly a week.

Is everything ok? I'm just curious

I have been having the same problem, probably the server is overloaded at times.

Yeah, it's the website having troubles. Me and another mod notified Mark (the creator and owner of ABO) about it. Mark notified the host of ABO and was told this:

The server was under high load and needed to have some services restarted, I have dealt with the load, and you should have access again.

I've often wondered if the Little Astro Boy thread might be part of the cause of the possible server overload since it's the first link that pops up when you search "Little Astro Boy" on Google, but I'm honestly not sure. There could be a number of reasons why we've been getting database errors to be honest.

The account was suspended, not invalidated. This is different, as it means that the account still exists and has not been deleted. As administrators we can do that too, by just changing an option in the forum to temporarily close it (for an upgrade for example). It is possible that our provider upgraded something, and in the process suspended the account to avoid users logging in while the server wasn't in a coherent state. The fact is that we are back online and no data seem to have been lost, so as frightening as it was, it wasn't such a big deal. In the end, we will have to wait for Mark to know what really happened.
