What?? Sorry, I didn't quite understand that...English isn't my native language you see, normally I speak Mandarin :d oh:[/QUOTE]

Maybe she means she finds no interest in it, or its below her age group.

I don't know what ken means either. Never heard of the expression.

Oh :)
I see.
Pardon me for my lousy English XD
I joined this forum in late 2013 when I was 15 going on 16. Ignore my oldest posts, they embarrass me so much that I've considered permanantly leaving the forum more than once. I've grown out of my fangirling phase over Black Jack, Atom and Uran ages ago but the memories still embarrass me at times... Though, I try to be more open-minded about it and accept it as an "interesting stage of my life". :tezuka:

Wait, but is she/he said "above" why do you say "below" the age group? I'm a little confused in this part, sorry XP

it means that when someone finds little interest in something because they see it more aimed at youths (small children or kids for ex.)

Like that new astro boy series coming out in March for Nigeria. It's mostly aimed at preschoolers, so some older astro boy fans probably will ignore it. Btw, the new series is called "Robot Atom". There's a thread about it here if you're interested.

Hmm, Arrietty seems alright to me compared to some over-childish anime I've seen. Besides, the story kind of tells people not to be so...well, selfish. I'm talking about the housekeeper in Arrietty.
I guess the main reason why I watch Ghibli anime is mainly because of the storyline, characters, backround drawings, and the music :)
And like Osamu Tezuka's works, Studio Ghibli anime tells lots about the meaning of life and love.
So even if some people think that Arrietty is childish or stupid just because the main character is a little person, I'm still watching it. No offense to anyone of course! Everybody has different likes and dislikes. Just like I dislike the Astro Boy 2003 English dub but lots of people like it. XD

I agree. Most people just don't understand the meanings and messages Tezuka and Miyazaki's works shout out. (You know, most people just like that Naruto and One Piece stuff; Stuff I think is stupid. No offense to naruto or one piece lovers. Just what I think about the series here.)

And yeah, I dislike the 1980s AB and BJ (1990s) english dubs, but most people like 'em.

Do you dislike Naruto and One Piece?

I'm sorry if I'm rude to Naruto and One Piece fans on the forum, but the truth is I don't like these two anime at all. Sorry. I'm not too fond of the drawing style....gomen nasai.

Osamu Tezuka and Hayao Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli films inspire and fascinate me because of not only the style of their works but also the message their animations bring. :)

I've never watched the 1990s Black Jack before. I don't think it's available here in Taiwan.

I'm not fond of Atomu's voice in th 1980 English dub either. It's a little too whiny for my liking, sorry
