I'd say cyber bullies are worse simply because of the vast amount of stuff people can do on the Internet these days.

Sorry if you guys deal with bullies :( I hope you find a solution to the problem.

Agreed. We're still human beings, even behind a screen.

There is something I've asked myself for a very long time about bullying. There is a lot of talk about the victims and the bullies, but what about the people in between? If the crowd around, the "witnesses", laugh at what the bully does and/or imitate him, they encourage him, and the burden on the victim's shoulders gets heavier. :(

In a perfect world, everybody would stand up for the victim. But it does take courage to do so, because many will fear they will become a victim too. I've always thought that at the very least, everything would be so much better if everybody around at least refrained from encouraging bullies in a way or another.

I really wish school administrations, workplaces and really all kinds of communities would take this into account (bullying isn't restricted to school, although I wouldn't be surprised if the rate was higher than elsewhere). I'm afraid there will always be people who are hurtful, but if they didn't feel supported, they possibly would make different choices. At the very least, their impact would be attenuated. It could make all the difference in the victims' world.

If someone we know (or not) is complaining about somebody else, ridiculing or denigrating him or her, how many of us will actually refrain from judging before making a serious effort to find out by ourselves who really is that person? I think this is something we should remind ourselves all the time, and remind each others too. It's simple, but I think it could be very effective. :)

Yep, quite right indeed! :D
I joined this forum in late 2013 when I was 15 going on 16. Ignore my oldest posts, they embarrass me so much that I've considered permanantly leaving the forum more than once. I've grown out of my fangirling phase over Black Jack, Atom and Uran ages ago but the memories still embarrass me at times... Though, I try to be more open-minded about it and accept it as an "interesting stage of my life". :tezuka:
